Variegated Trichocereus Cactus
Botanical Name: Trichocereus spp. / Echinopsis spp.
Common Names: Variegated Trichocereus, Variegated Columnar Cactus, Variegated Torch Cactus
This Variegated Trichocereus is a standout collector cactus with bold yellow and green variegation, upright columnar growth, and multiple branching stems. Its natural color pattern gives the plant a bright, sculptural look, making it perfect for cactus collectors, patios, shelves, and modern desert-style displays.
This plant is potted in a handmade premium concrete pot for a finished, elevated look. Each concrete pot is made by hand, so slight variations in texture, color, and finish make every piece unique.
Care Info
Light: Bright light to full sun. Acclimate slowly to strong afternoon sun because variegated areas can sunburn more easily.
Water: Water deeply, then allow soil to dry completely before watering again. Reduce watering during cool weather and winter.
Soil: Use a very well-draining cactus or gritty soil mix. Avoid heavy soil that stays wet.
Temperature: Protect from freezing temperatures. Best kept in a container that can be moved or covered during winter.
Hardiness: Not reliably cold hardy in Central Texas without protection. Protect during freezes and extended cold, wet weather.
Growth: Upright, columnar, and branching. Variegated plants may grow slower than solid green forms.
Pet Safety: Use caution around pets and children. Spines can be sharp, and cactus plants should not be eaten.
