Texas Star Hibiscus (Hibiscus coccineus) - 1 Gallon pot
Texas Star Hibiscus is a striking native perennial known for its large, brilliant red, star-shaped flowers and deeply divided foliage. Blooming throughout the warmer months, it creates a bold tropical appearance while attracting hummingbirds, butterflies, bees, and other pollinators.
This moisture-loving hibiscus thrives in full sun to partial shade and performs especially well near ponds, rain gardens, drainage areas, and consistently moist garden beds. It can also adapt to average garden soil with regular watering. In winter, the plant may die back to the ground before returning vigorously in spring.
Texas Star Hibiscus typically grows 4–7 feet tall, making it an excellent choice for the back of flower beds, native gardens, wildlife landscapes, and dramatic seasonal accents.
